Eggardon hillfort environs

We are currently engaged in a project surveying the fields around Eggardon hillfort in Dorset.  To date we have completed five surveys and are currently working on the report for the sixth.    

The surveys have uncovered what would appear to be significant Iron Age and Romano-British activity around the hillfort.  The results were presented at the annual Dorset Natural History and Archaeology conference last year and have been logged with the Dorset Historic Environment Record.
